A destination is first saved as a AKRShortener link. The Google sharing service then wraps that AKRShortener URL, so the owner keeps control of the destination.

What we keep
Account details, managed links, lifetime and daily aggregate click totals, and abuse reports needed to operate the service. Detailed click, device, IP and referrer histories are not stored.
